Passing the time between one half of Silent Witness and the other last night, I watched a little more of the absurdity that is Big Brother. Is it just me, or is Victor the most inconceivably offensive person ever to be put in front of a camera, ever?
Am currently proofreading for that bastion of pop culture (or, y'know, not), Alternative London. One reviewer has described Wolfsheim as being 'Placebo-duplicate whinging'. I have to wonder whether he means the same band I'm thinking of. Though it would be interesting to have Placebo cover 'I Don't Love You Any More' - I think it would be rather good.
(Later, another reviewer will accuse Arkham Asylum of making a sound that "transforms 'You Spin Me Right Round (Like A Record)' into a mutant more terrifying than Pete Burns." I quite like that.)
Today I shall be mostly seeing goths and probably buying Robin of Sherwood, because I sort of have to. It's not just Michael Praed, though obviously that's a major consideration. ~s~ It's also that nothing else I've ever seen comes close to representing the Robin Hood legend as it lives inside my head. This does at least come close enough that I know it'll be something I can watch again and again. Which makes it worth getting. (That's enough justification -Ed.)
And you? Any scattered thoughts of your own to share with me today?
