1. You get to remove one music single from existence from the 80’s, one from the 90’s and one from this year. Which singles do you choose? Why?
Oh, goodness. I'm tempted to give 'Since Yesterday' by Strawberry Switchblade the boot from the 80s, because I'm so sick of it being played at goth clubs, but that's not really fair since it's actually quite good. So, with only a small amount of hesitation, I will firebomb the truly godawful 'Never Gonna Give You Up' by Rick Astley. I don't object to his having a singing career per se, I just wish I'd never had to hear any of it, and that song is the worst of them.
90s is slightly more difficult. I think, in the end, that I will have to leave the catatonia-inducing 'Angels' by Robbie Williams, and even the song which reduces me to a heap of whimpering horrified murderous kitten - 'Missing You' by Puff Daddy and Faith Evans - in favour of blasting forever out of existence that early 90s classic, 'Sweat (A La La La La Long)' by Inner Circle. Do I really need a reason? It makes me want to throw up. That's good enough for me.
This year, well, this year has hardly had time to annoy me yet. :) I don't think I've heard anything released this year that I want to get rid of...
2. You get to swap body heights with me for a week. What do you imagine you will like about it and what do you think may give you trouble?
What would I like? The clothes I could wear. What would give me trouble? Probably everything else, I'm afraid. I love being tall - it would probably be a whole day of panic attacks if I were suddenly
3. You discover that you have the power to see other people’s futures but not your own. Do you use this power? Do you tell anyone that you have it?
If there's no way to get rid of the power, I'd be incapable of stopping myself from using it. I am one of nature's Pandoras, always opening the box even when I know full well I shouldn't. And I'd probably tell people, as well, because I can keep anyone's secrets but my own. :)
4. Form the ultimate band and produce a single to be released next week, who is in the band, what is the single called and when is the album due?
This is too close to adjectivemarcus's first question of a few days ago! But the first single is a cover of Duran Duran's 'Khanada', and the album is due once we can get Nick Rhodes out from in front of the TV. He watches too much reality TV these days...
5. What is on the ‘soundtrack to your life’?
Eeep. How many songs can I have? OK, I'll try to keep this sensible...ish.
Ebenezer Goode - The Shamen
When We Dance - Sting
Golden Brown - The Stranglers
Suntan - Stan (Now there's something people won't remember...)
Do You See The Light? - Snap!
Run To You - Bryan Adams
Breath Of Life (or possibly In My Arms) - Erasure
Khanada - Duran Duran
Astradyne - Ultravox (or Western Promise if I'm not allowed instrumentals)

After Rain - Oysterband
Deep Red - Apoptygma Berzerk
Once In A Lifetime - Wolfsheim
Sin - Nine Inch Nails
Beloved - VNV Nation
The Love Cats - The Cure

There's a thousand other things I could have put in, but today these are the ones that spring to mind.
