1. If you could combine the musicians from any of your favourite bands (from any eras) into one super group, who would you put in it, and what would it be called?
Nick Rhodes (Duran Duran) and Stuart Neale (Kajagoogoo) on keyboards - plus the guy from Interlock guesting on a couple of songs. Bass has to be Mick Karn (Japan); guitar - I'd love to have the guy from The Darkness, but it would hardly fit the sound of the band, so...I don't know. I really don't.
Drummer, probably either one of the Roger Taylors (Duran or Queen) - I don't pay much attention to drummers. Oh, or maybe dennyd so I could watch him on stage. :)
Vocals, gosh. I think it would have to be a different vocalist every song - otherwise how could I get Gary Numan, David Sylvian (Japan), Tori Amos, Trent Reznor, Marilyn Manson, Brian Molko, Bryan Ferry, Boy George, Midge Ure...and everyone else in the same band?
*ahem* As to what it would be called? I'd let them decide on that. When I have a band I want it to be called Dandyrama (the name of a French wedding dress shop), but I wouldn't presume to choose a name for the likes of these...
2. If magic existed and you could cast one spell on another person, who would you cast it on and what would it be?
"If magic existed", indeed. I think you mean "if you could do magic". :) But seriously...
I know the true answer to this question, but I'm not prepared to give it because it beautifully highlights how incredibly pathetic I can be. That aside, right now I'd probably cast a spell on dennyd to make his leg heal completely.
3. Which foods should never be mixed?
There is a long, long list as far as I'm concerned - but anyone else can mix any foods they particularly want to, so long as I don't have to eat them. The thing they *can't* mix is food and sex.
"Covered in jam!" Sigh.
4. Someone gives you a mythical beast as a pet. You have to keep it secret. What is it and what do you name it?
A small fairy that grants wishes. If she didn't have her own name I'd probably call her Alicia, but I'd expect her to have her own, really.
Or a faun, maybe. But I probably wouldn't care what I called him. :)
5. What do you think of TV comedies of today?
There are TV comedies today?
Actually, that's not fair. I don't watch enough TV to be able to dismiss things I don't actually see. But nothing springs to mind - especially nothing British. 'My Family' was wonderful for the first series and then got rapidly more and more tired; I can't think of anything else, because I'm assuming comedy quiz shows don't count.
I find sitcoms tend to make me cringe anyway, because it's a group of people stuck in a natural situation but having to be funny all the time. If impressionists and quiz shows counted, then there's a lot that's brilliant, but I suspect they weren't what you had in mind.
1. Where would you like to be a decade from now?
On stage. Singing a NIN cover. To a huge audience. With a number of extremely attractive people dancing with me or hitting me with things. :)
2. What's the best decision you've ever made?
I suppose in some ways one could consider the times I've made a decision to stay alive my best, but I'm not sure I do. I think a decision I made to Do The Right Thing a while ago - while in the end the outcome might not have been much different, it made me remember that I could do the right thing, and that if I just went ahead doing the wrong thing it was a choice, not inevitable. I changed quite a lot - for the better - after that.
Hmm. I think I could probably do with a reminder of that kind of thing now, actually.
3. What would be your perfect night out?
Oooh. Dinner at a fabulous Chinese restaurant, followed by a trip to see Phantom Of The Opera or Cats, followed by a totally debauched party in a huge London house with desperately ornate decorations. As for who would be there - well, who wouldn't?
4. Do you believe in anything paranormal? If so, what? If not, why not?
Yes. I believe in just about everything. Really - you name a paranormal phenomenon and I'll likely believe in it; I don't see even the slightest reason not to. I've seen some pretty damn odd things myself, after all.
5. What's the most romantic thing you've ever done?
You know, someone asked me this in the last meme, and I had no idea what the answer was. I don't think I've ever done anything romantic. Not because I'm not a romantic person - you know I am - but when I love someone it's everything all the time, and so I can never think of a particular gesture that might be more significant than anything else.
Sigh. No wonder nobody wants to date me. Except the strange people who do, but they're strange. :)
1) You DIE! Horribly! BUT you get to come back as a ghost and help or hinder whomever you wish. What do you do?
Horribly horribly? ~grin~ I'd certainly come back and haunt my old friend Tom for a while, just as payback, but since you didn't specify one person, I'd then go on to turn up at Nick Rhodes's house and inspire him to write a song. Then I'd go to robinbloke's just to prove that ghosts exist, and then...I don't know. :)
2) You have to choose the form of Gozer the destructor, so he can turn up and destroy the world. What do you choose?
Can he still destroy the world if he's veryverysmall? I don't want the world destroyed.
3) What's your favorite part of the body?
Hair. Hands, backs, faces. Eyes, but not so much because of what they are as because of the looks they can give.
4) How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
Six ounces - they get bored very quickly.
5) What song lodges itself in your mind most often?
'Pearl In The Shell' by Howard Jones - I've no idea why. It's infuriating.
