(The first, we have, in theory; the Invader Zim DVD is somewhere in the house, or there's always the internet. The second I suspect I'm not the only person who would kill or at least maim for. *Ahem*.)
I got some sleep, though not enough. It's slightly odd being back here.
Anyway. Since acclaimed and often sensible people some_fox and trishpiglet started it...
Pick up the nearest book and write a sentence at random from it:
"In the last year her figure had filled out, and the snug costume bordered on the scandalous."
Well, it's not entirely random, but it's not my book anyway...(sorry wildeabandon :)
Do you like having your picture taken?
Yes. However, I hate all the results, which has led to a hatred of the actual picture-taking as well. In theory however I will happily pose for a camera doing, well, whatever, it's just that then all the pictures must be destroyed, which sort of defeats the purpose, for anyone else and for me.
Ever bought a CD for just one song?
Frequently. But I don't think I've ever bought any music and wished I hadn't.
Do you read your horoscope?
Only when I'm so strung out with difficult issues that *anything* that gives a pointer or different perspective of some kind would be helpful.
If you could only talk to one person online, who would that be?
It would depend who else I was with. My instincitve response is to say asrana, but then, it doesn't say you can't talk to them in real life. So I guess blu_dragonfly, because almost everyone else I talk to online I can visit in real life.
What colour is the inside of your head when you close your eyes?
Fairly bright red, with glowing white lines across it when I'm thinking hard or when I have a migraine.
Do you find you use internet language when writing notes in real life?
When you're talking do you ever use your hands to do quotation marks in the air when saying certain words?
I have done, but only to really stress how ridiculous the quote is.
Ever seriously questioned your sanity?
On average, once every three months.
When you dream do you see what's happening in a character's view or a camera type view?
Almost always both simultaneously. I love how that's possible in dreams and I wish I could do it in real life.
Have you ever kept a New Year's resolution?
I don't think I've ever made one - I know I wouldn't keep them.
Who has the best taste in music out of all your friends?
Technically I suppose it's zotz, because nobody can know that much music and not be said to have good taste in music. But for what I like personally it's certainly robinbloke. And DJ Valeriun at Electric Dreams. :)
What was your school mascot?
Other people's money.
Do you wish your teeth were whiter?
A little maybe - they're generally not too bad.
Do you laugh at your own jokes?
Sometimes. I don't tend to create jokes myself, so I'll be telling on ones I thought were really funny and thus will be laughing at them. My favourite joke *requires* me to laugh in the telling of it, anyway. ~giggles~
What word instantly makes you smile/laugh?
Moose. Flan. Plinth. And a variety of others. But people seem to have most fun with the moose and the flan.
When eating, are you more concerned with taste or healthiness?
Taste, really rather obviously. :)
Do you find you're different talking through IMs than face-to-face or on the telephone?
I talk differently in all of those media. And overwhelmingly prefer face to face.
How many phone numbers do you have remembered and can say off the top of your head?
Home, my nan's, my house in London, asrana's, and one of my old best friends' because it's so easy to remember.
What was the best Halloween costume you ever had?
Just a fairly gothy dress that we got in France, but it was split right up the front and I wore it to the school Hallowe'en party and got a baffled round of applause for it as everyone suddenly realised I had legs. :)
Do you cry when you laugh?
Can you limbo?
You're a vampire; what's worse, never seeing a photo/reflection of yourself, never being able to eat or drink what's not blood, or never seeing sunlight again?
Never seeing sunlight again, I suppose, though there are ways I could deal with that.
Do you say random stuff like "I like Snickers" when you are having a conversation about something totally different?
Frequently. Right now it's mostly "Mmm, [beautiful man] in a frock coat. Sorry, what?"
Have you ever hacked into somebody else's email?
No. I can't hack.
Do spelling errors bother you?
Lots and lost and ltos and otsl and slot. :)
Name all Teletubbies right now:
Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa Laa, Po. Yes, I did know that, and yes, Laa Laa does have a double a and I did know that. On some level it's my job to know these things. Honest.
Would you ever call someone a racist name?
I don't think so - I can't imagine a situation in which I'd do that, unless it was part of a scene I'd be unlikely to be involved in.
Other names, though, oh yes. ~s~
Do you think Vlad is a cool name?
Not really, as it stands. Vladimir is quite a beautiful name but, being name-obsessed as I am, there are many that I like more. Even for vampires.
Did you know it is Dracula's first name?
What do you think is going to take over humans and rule the world?
What is your IQ?
I have no idea. I know school wanted to put me through IQ tests because they reckoned it would be high but my parents weren't happy about it so I never did them. ~shrug~
Have you ever killed your own dinner?
No, and I don't think I could.
Would you prefer a spork or a spoon and fork?
A spoon and a fork. Sporks are fun but kind of useless.
If you choke a smurf, what colour does it turn?
I don't know. Why don't we try it and find out.
Papa Smurf: loveable grandfather or crack-selling pimp?
They're all annoying little blue bugs and should be stepped on. (Sorry, asrana. ~g~)
Favourite of the seven dwarves?
No, no, please no. I like the gay prince.
Do you like Wayne or Garth better?
what do you think of gold teeth?
It's really not attractive, though not as sad as the ruby Mick Hucknall has in one of his.
Ever laughed so hard that what you were drinking spewed out of your nose?
Hey, I read dot_cattiness. Yes, lots.
Wasn't Josie and the Pussycats a stupid movie?
I haven't seen it yet, but I intend to.
Wasn't Shrek an awesome movie?
Er. Kind of, I guess. There were some things about it that were *very* good, but I long for the abolition of feisty princesses.
What did you think of the movie Turner and Hooch?
Never heard of it.
Have you ever checked out your own arse?
Only in order to decide what to wear.
What time did you wake up today?
5am, 6am, 7am, 8am, finally gave up at 9am.
Have you ever dissected a frog?
Do you eat to live or live to eat?
Somewhere in between, usually.
Would you eat SPAM for £5?
Oh goodness yes, I've paid to eat it - but I'd say no to see if I could get you to bump the money up before I gave in. I like the stuff. Fake food++
What's your favourite kind of muffin?
Corn. They only do them right in America though.
Would you like enough crackers to last you a year?
No, thank you.
Would you like enough beatings to last you a lifetime?
Is the only way you can dance in a dark room with a strobe light?
No. Don't much like strobe lights actually. But the dark does help sometimes.
Have you ever written poetry?
Many, many times.
What is the worst grade you have ever got on a test?
U. :) But I still considered it a victory.
How long have you been living at your current residence?
Since last August/September.
Do you like children under 10?
Usually, no. Really not.
Have you ever babysat (outside your own family)?
Never. People would - and rightly so - worry far too much about what I'd do.
Have you ever fallen off a chair?
Once or twice.
Do you ever take stuff home with you from a hotel room?
Yes. I like to fremantle things. (See Douglas Adams' "The Meaning Of Liff"...or don't, I don't mind.)
What is your dream kiss like?
A difficult question because I'm so odd about kisses. "One where I don't immediately want to run away and be sick" is the sad but truthful answer, I guess. Eh.
The most romantic thing anyone has done for you was:
It's impossible to choose - it's even impossible to choose what it is for one person. People do lovely things for me.
Well, that was pleasantly surreal in places. Who writes these things, indeed. Anyway. Should possibly try and wake up now.
