If you went crazy and decided to go on a mass killing spree, what song would you be listening to as you were pumping lead/tearing apart/stabbing your victims?

Hmm. Mass killing spree? Certainly my personal killing music is 'Deep Red' by Apoptygma Berzerk. Perhaps if I went crazy, I'd do my killing to 'In Your Eyes' by the Oysterband.

Do you have a song that you can listen to that puts you in a better mood than you were in prior to listening to the song?
For pure ecstatic keyboards, 'Incommunicado' by Marillion and 'Jump!' by Van Halen. 'Big Time' by Peter Gabriel manages it as well, somehow, as does 'Rio' by Duran Duran. There are probably others. Like 'Love What You Do' by The Divine Comedy.

What song is your "guilty pleasure"?
Things by Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, and *NSync - that kind of thing.

Is there a song/songs that made you cry? What was it/were they?
Lord, hundreds. Everything by the Oysterband, 'Rattlesnakes' by Tori Amos, 'Red Rain' by Peter Gabriel, 'Iris' by The Goo Goo Dolls, 'Who Wants To Live Forever' by Queen, 'Cuts You Up' by Peter Murphy, 'Just Like Heaven' by The Cure...the list is very very long indeed.

Name an artist you like that would surprise people who think they know you.
The Who, or Simon & Garfunkel, I'd guess.

Is there a song you could never get sick of?
Many. 'Europa And The Pirate Twins' by Thomas Dolby, 'Anyone Out There' by Duran Duran, 'Tiger Tiger' by Duran Duran, 'Seconds' by The Human League, oh, gods, lots of songs. Yes.

Is there a song or band that you won't listen to because of the emotional turmoil that you're reminded of that surrounded you when you did listen to that song or band?
All the Oysterband songs. 'Just Like Heaven' by The Cure, which I avoid if I can help it. 'Every You Every Me' by Placebo.

Describe one memory you have (off the top of your head) that surrounds a particular song, which will immediately pop into your head when you hear it, and name the song too.
Damn, I really should try to think of another one, but.
'Cuts You Up' by Peter Murphy - The club is dark and full of shapes in enclosing black, so the bright white lights that flash across the dancefloor are almost blinding. I'm talking with a friend when the first notes play and you dash past me, weave your way through the crowd to place yourself in front of one of the lights. You don't do it deliberately, you're just looking for a space to dance in, but when I look up to see you through the other people you are silhouetted against the brilliant white and it's impossible to keep my eyes on you. Dancing with that severity of expression that you wear only for music and occasionally the camera. To this day I don't know whether my tears at watching you came from my agony at your inexpressible beauty, or simply from looking too long at those bright white lights.

So now you know.

Name one CD you regret buying. Or owning.
I regret owning the Oysterband CDs I was given, because I can't throw music away and I'd love to be rid of them. I regret buying the Jane Siberry album, though it was only in a charity shop, because the lyrics are gorgeous but the songs are apalling.

Last but not least - Slap down lyrics from ONE song that would best describe you and/or your feelings in general (don't take a lot of time to think about it, it can just be how you're feeling right now). Note who it's by, what song, and album.
How I'm feeling right now? Um. Well, I went and searched. But I've no idea where these come from, and the rest of the lyrics don't work at all...

"Things are just a bit nice over some coffee. You can tell me all about your day.
I don't know much about you, not that I want to. Not that I want to.
Sometimes I can't escape from my room, so excuse me--I'll be just a little late -

You will wait for me.
"

As for how I feel about life in general...

"And by five o'clock everything's dead
And every third car is a cab
And ignorant people sleep in their beds
Like the doped white mice in the collage lab
And nothing ever happens
Nothing happens at all
The needle returns to the start of the song
And we all sing along like before
And we'll all be lonely tonight and lonely tomorrow
Telephone exchanges click while there's nobody there
The Martians could land in the car park and no one would care
Close circuit cameras in department stores
Shoot the same movie every day
And the stars of these films neither die or get killed
Just survive constant action replay
And nothing ever happens
Nothing happens at all
The needle returns to the start of the song
And we all sing along like before
And we'll all be lonely tonight and lonely tomorrow..."

-'Nothing Ever Happens', by various people but the version I like is the Del Amitri one, because Del Amitri rock.

1. If you had to tell someone your life story in no more than ten sentences, what would they be?
"Went to the same prep school that produced Eddie Izzard, and seem to have come away similar in many disturbing ways.
Went to the same private school that Enid Blyton's Mallory Towers series was based on, and if you read them, there's really very little else you need to know.
Left school and spent lots of time with lots of interesting people, many of whom I have really very deep feelings for.
Cried lots because they didn't have deep feelings for me.
Have had boyfriends, girlfriends, and possibly-relationships, all disasters."

2. Whose life story would you like to know?
Oh, goodness. Hmm.
nevla's, grahamb's, emarkienna's, jinxx's, more of kitty_goth's, boyofbadgers's, darkgoblin's, moomintroll's, nisaba's, kaet's...lots of people's. I'm a big one for life stories and that.

3. Whose do you already know?
Hmm. To a certain but not a complete extent in any case -
asrana's, wildeabandon's, giolla's, kitty_goth's, dennyd's, excelsis's and sweetprince's...but only to a certain extent.

4. If you were going to write a novel based on the life of someone you knew, who would you choose?
Um. Me. But apart from me, kitty_goth - not necessarily because his is the most interesting around, though it's definitely a contender, but because I think I could get the tone right and it would be interesting and lots of fun to write.

So I was just thinking, ugh, I'm too crazy to post another song, why would I even bother anyway, when I was suddenly reminded of a track I had on Now…

You know when everyone is going crazy about a book, or a film, or a band, and you just get sick to death of even seeing it mentioned, even by people…

Well, clearly I'm not going to manage to post a song every day, because for the last...what is it, like, six? I have kept trying and then deciding…
