I've recorded "Quiet Life" by Japan for asrana. It's an amazing song. It's one of those songs that, every time I listen to it, no matter what kind of mood I'm in, it reminds me why I'm a New Romantic and why I love what I love so much. It fills me with the spirit of 1979-1982. It's wonderful. I'm hoping I'm going to be able to go home also so that I can record off a million things for her, because I love her so much and I so want her to hear - and like - all these wonderful songs that I have. I'm just going to do tape after tape - asrana, love, you're going to have about ten by the time I'm finished...I really hope you don't mind. I just own so many *great* songs.
Among other things, I'm looking forward to recording "Acrylic Afternoons" by Pulp for her, because I know she likes Jarvis Cocker's voice and it is just one of the most devastating songs I've ever heard. "When Smokey Sings" by ABC is looking good too, as is "Lawnchairs" by Our Daughter's Wedding. Strange songs. Good songs. Perhaps "Wind Power" by Thomas Dolby. We'll see - I'm just going to go through my record/tape/CD collection and grab things.
And - go visit today's BMB. ~cuddles all characters~ Saved my life, they did. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BMB!!!
Well, I'm going to go and check to see if there are any messages or anything telling me what's actually going on for the next week. If I don't see any of you before the end of it, have a good one. ~hugs all~
