Nights At The Circus

He merged perfectly, the mirror in the hallway

I seem to remember that last time I went to see Cirque du Soleil's phenomenal show Varekai, I posted something incoherent and told you all I'd make a more detailed post at some future date. Fear not : now is not that time. But I did go and see it again last night, and it did do all the same things it did for me last time; it is an extraordinary piece of work, easily my favourite Cirque show by virtue of it involving more of my favourite acts all in one place than any of their others*. And I could still write a long analytical post of why I adore it quite as much as I do, but I won't, because I already know the answer to that question.

Instead, I'm going to waste my lunch break whining about how there's almost no Cirque fanfiction and there really should be. They create worlds for us - why not mess about in them?

*Throw the German Wheel and La Nouba's completely insane trampoline act in there somehow and I would have to be physically removed from the Albert Hall.
