Labyrinth Sarah forest

Still alive.

Home, in one piece (just about), not so good really. I think it's probably best if I focus on the films I saw while I was in Cambridge, rather than anything else (though it was utterly lovely to meet fiona_kitty properly, and to see dreamfracture and blackmetalbaz again, on Monday night.) There were lots of films. Which is always good.

Namely Caligula (Malcolm McDowell, blood, incest, murder, pretty men, grand viziers of doom, and a horse - it's all good), Daredevil (not the worst superhero film I've seen, and Colin Farrell is unnervingly cool, but Ben Affleck always makes me want to punch him), Still Crazy (I've been wanting to watch this for years! and it's brilliant! and I cried! and must own it, because it's bloody wonderful), Return Of The King (again, the extended version this time, which, apart from having *even more* bits where Aragorn swoons and Legolas catches him - really - was mostly a good lesson in why things are cut from films), Strange Things Happen At Sundown (this defies detailed description, but is a shoestring-budget vampire gorefest with a curiously brilliant script and some cute people and a lot of death), Flash Gordon (I'd type a description if I could stop laughing long enough, but you've all seen it already anyway. Brian Blessed!), and The Punisher (surprised me by being really quite good, and not nearly as irritating as I was expecting, and John Travolta might possibly have been able to claim godhood as a result if he hadn't made Battlefield Earth as well).

So that was fun. And now I'm home. And I'm here today, and tomorrow for a bit, but tomorrow afternoon I'm going home to Sussex to, well, regenerate. (Seriously, I have some skin to regrow and everything. ~g~) My parents are in Spain for the weekend and I could do with having our home to myself for a couple of days. I don't *think* there's anything I was meant to be doing this weekend, but even if there was, I'm sorry, I need to go to ground for a little while. Back Monday, to see asrana and then do dinner and visual stupid with adjectivemarcus, which should also help.

    Nothing right now.
(I've tried patience)

Happy happy happy.

I owe hatter incredibly belated gratitude - huge, huge, huge amounts of it. About two years ago he copied two My Life Story CDs for me, and I haven't listened to them since around that time (they just got buried under stuff). However miserable I may generally be, I have just been dancing around my kitchen in utter ecstasy. I am now very happy. God, they were a good thing.

Bounce, bounce bounce twirl bounce. Frankly.
