(I've tried patience)

You wish you were me : redux

Another good night at B-Movie, which makes, oh, about two in total. ~g~ Still though, I shall not bite the hand that strokes me; tonight was honestly rather fine. Comparatively bad news from the ITGB in that he's really not free to do anything with anyone at the moment, very much tempered by the knowledge that he'd really, really like to be. Other things that might have got me down largely ignored in the face of meeting the enchanting thalinoviel, who spent much of the time distracting me from the good but endlessly mainstream 80sness.

Lovely to see lots of people, particularly including childeric, zoo_music_girl who is a darling and has given me a whole pile of CDs, velvetfox, hatter and zellah, all of whom I've not seen for far too long.

I got home to find spam from the stalwart 'Dishpan P. Termagants', who regularly sends me drug-related spam couched in the most wonderful text. I submit the latest for your viewing pleasure : Collapse )

Well, quite.

I expect I should sleep now. Well, soon, anyway.

I can fly!

Erm. Right.

Just like to reiterate that B-Movie was great. If I say it enough times I'll realise it wasn't a dream. ~s~ Wish I could have slept for longer, though. Ow, tired.

So I'm making a tape for dalehead for her birthday, right? And I'm going through my 7"s, right? And I find something I bought the other week purely on the strength of the cover, because it was shiny and looked like it might not be bad. (And was only 10p. Charity shops are my friends.) I'd evidently then put it on my shelf and forgotten about it, but I thought I might as well play it while I was aware of it, just to see. And as I put it on I glanced at the cover again, frowned, and thought, 'He looks familiar...'

Yeah. That's 'cause it's him.
I'd no idea he used to be in a band. They were called Ice Cold In Alice, if you're interested, and basically sound like Curiosity Killed The Cat.

These things just find me.

It's the weekend, I'm allowed.

Not angst this time, but an entirely self-indulgent post about how much I love my music collection.

Sorry, I just felt the need to say that. You may now all comment telling me how bad my taste is. I'll defend it furiously, though, of course. ~g~
