(I've tried patience)

Jigsaw pieces

Last night on my way to katyha's I was listening to more of the CDs in the wallet wechsler has lent me, and I accidentally hit upon a track that did something that not many pieces of music can do. Quite often in my life I'll discover a song or an album and think 'I can't believe I've survived this long without that', but this is slightly different - it's a case of 'I know there should be music that sounds like this somewhere, but I don't know where to look for it'. And every now and again I'll unexpectedly find something that falls into that category. Ed Alleyne-Johnson, Loreena McKennitt, late John Foxx and various other things have been like that, and now to this I add 'Chosen' by Arena. (I know, I know. But they are awfully good.)

Has that ever happened to you? Just curious.

Anything to pass the time, before I wind up quoting West Side Story in a way I'd deserve to be shot for...

    Dodgy but rather excellent prog-metal-type-stuff.

Fifteen minutes of fame

Well, that went rather well. (Oh, ok, I walked all over everyone else in big, big boots, apart from Jo the gorgeous Welsh baritone, but it's not a competitive sport so I'm not really supposed to say things like that.) And French people complimented me on my French, which is always good. And now it's over. Rah.

Next stop, Soho. (Life)++
