(I've tried patience)

Yesterday, on the other hand, was *entirely* successful.

Spent a wonderful day yesterday with wechsler, first wandering round the Egyptian parts of the British Museum, then being introduced to the concept of a sushi restaurant that I might actually go to again. It was just a very lovely day, really good to spend some time with wechsler and full of new things and wonder and bounce.

Then we headed to Camden to meet up with valkyriekaren (yay!) and olethros (yay!) and found ourselves also in the company of arkady, reddragdiva and redcountess, plus, somewhat unexpectedly, the unutterably lovely lucybond and the quite frankly stunning cavalorn. Neither of whom I'd met before, but it turns out that she writes Pirates Of The Caribbean slash and he responded to my LJ name with "Oh, you're DurAnorak!", proving once again that the world is tiny. Tiny tiny tiny.

Had been planning to be spirited off by wechsler, but I was clearly enjoying myself so much that he extremely graciously let me stay in the pub chatting with people. Because he's wonderful.

So I stayed, and chatted with people, and got scratched a lot (in a good way this time). And, erm. EventuallyIleftandIdidn'tsleepathomeandmeep.

*ahem*

Life's a strange place, isn't it?

Goths and things.

Some, though not nearly enough, of today was spent with the lovely mrph, listening to music and things, as we are wont to do. Then off to the Dev to say goodbye to lucybond and cavalorn, and see spikeylady and ciphergoth. Had to leave earlyish due to Stuff, and unfortunately chose the exact moment delomelas arrived, meaning I retain my status as one of the very few people on his Friends list he still doesn't know. Ah well. Goths, they get everywhere, so I shall introduce myself at some point.

Goodness, I'm very tired.
