(I've tried patience)

(no subject)

Upsetting things. (Well, fuck *you*, what do you know about it?) Then bad news. (Of course, he's miles away. And still I feel I should be there for him, even though I don't actually know where 'there' is any more.) More bad news. (There goes my only reason for getting up today. No, really.) Should I even bother going to Cambridge tonight at all? Should I even bother leaving my room for the rest of today? Or this week? I want to be outside life today.

"Anyone would think you had nothing to smile about." -R.

OK, so for once (or for the hundredth time), the character made a good point. I'm not going to list reasons to be cheerful (doing that has a tendency to upset me more, for some reason) but what I will say is - MUSIC! BOUNCE!
Because yesterday my dear little computer got hold of Alice Cooper's 'Trash' (it's a long story) and The Best Remix Of A Duran Track Ever - the Ultimix Remix of Girls On Film, which is what they played last time I was at the Electric Ballroom, and I thought I'd never find it. But I have. And it's so impossibly good. Wow.

And today, Kazaa is not only getting hold of 'White And Alive' by XPQ-21 (it seems they're another band I should have been pointed at) but *also*, by the same band (as discovered by dj_pooka), 'Beautiful' - one of the songs from the Ballroom that no amount of net-trawling could find.
Later : *And* 'Perversity', the B-side of the recent Soft Cell single. (The single sucks, but the B-side is, IIRC really quite good - they played it at Electric Dreams. Incidentally, wildeabandon, you fancy coming down next Monday night and revisiting ED? Or the week after?)

So. Yay! Music! ~smile~ There are one or two good things floating around the place. Generally involving synthesisers. Of course.

I made asrana smile, yay! ~s~
That's my good deed for the day. Hmm, I should probably look at the music I'm supposed to have studied before I leave for my singing lesson...
