(I've tried patience)

Apparently, today I will be mostly distracted.
I think I can cope. ~smile~

And, those two from last night?
Pretty. Yes.

    Sugababes again. So not complaining.
I can fly!

The world is ending! ~grin~

I really should start packing for school...for once I won't mind going back - it's the last term and I have so much to shock everyone with...~grins more~ Oh, my poor schoolfriends.
"I went to Barbados and met Julian Lennon!"
"Oh, really? That's nice. I went to Southend."
"Gosh, how...quaint. What did you do there?"

I'm in such a bitchy mood today. As well as being distracted, of course. And loving the pretty pretty boys from last night.
Ah, heraldry.
~ding~ ~watches lightbulb appear above her head and smiles~ Haven't read Good Omens in far too long...knew it was familiar from somewhere...~cuddles Google~ I feel better now.
Pretty boys. Yes. ~bounce~

Ick, and further, ick.

Some people never know when to stop, when to shut up, when to let a subject drop, when to be serious...
My mother is guilty of most of these - she's phoned me five times today...~smile~ Yes. I do know it's only that she cares. She sang for Princess Margaret's memorial service this morning. I'm so proud of her.

I had (as some of you may have gathered) a severe jealousy attack this afternoon, which was particularly horrific...haven't felt like that in a long time. For a while now my mindset has been, cheerfully, "Sigh. I wish I could have that right now. But I will have it, one day. So, that's fine."
Today it went, "Sigh. I wish I could have that right now. Or ever. Because it will never happen. And why not? Why don't I deserve it? Well, because I'm a worthless unattractive bitch, that's why!" And raved on for a couple of hours.

Somehow I managed to shut it up - mainly by going and being Steve Jansen and sleeping for a little while resting in Cilla's arms. Never a bad thing.

But some people never know when to shut up.
Or is being permanently on the make a good thing, and I'm just dreadfully conservative...?

    Either Enya or Sugababes...

What year is it again?

For two reasons.
One - Top Of The Pops tonight.
Right, 'Unchained Melody', sung by a fresh-faced youth, is number one, which would make it c. 1964.
But number two is 'Lazy' by X-Press 2 (c. 1992) featuring the great David Byrne (c. 1981). It's a fantastic song, I'm glad to have heard it.
There was a song called 'Highly Evolved' by The Vines. The song was a minute and a half long (1977) but the band sounded like early Blur (1993) with irritating Hives-like screaming (2002).
Then there were 1 Giant Leap (1994) - another fabulous song - then 3SL (2000) who sounded like a group of lads on karaoke night, Usher (1989) and Garbage (1997).
What the heck is going on in the World of Pop?

Enough geekery. The other reason I don't know what year it is is that I'm distracted out of my mind.
Oh, why why *why* isn't it my birthday yet?
~would sulk, but is too busy rolling around on the floor, arching, purring lots and being generally distracted~

Sunday Sunday Sunday Sunday Sunday Sunday Sunday...
Now? Please? Please? ~bounce bounce bounce~

Why do we have to have Saturday in between? ~sigh~

~grin~ I feel like I'm in storage, or something...~twirls~
A little later : ~blink~ And the reality check arrives right on schedule...
~laughs~ I feel really guilty about all those poor suffragettes sometimes...
