I've always known my secondary school was bizarre and full of strange archaic customs. That sort of goes without saying, really.

Yesterday I realised that, in the final year of my prep school, 30% of lesson time was given over to our form teacher advising us on how to manage the stock market. We roleplayed as shareholders and bought and sold as we thought best and our teacher would come in each morning and tell us how our decisions had affected us based on the actual real-life stock market. It went on for months, I can't remember who won.

Is this normal? Please advise. *g*
